Now I can use the better helmets on my front row. Many thanks :) I had read about archers and eagle eye helping them to wear a -1 vision with no penalty :) ![]() Vision doesn't affect melee except with low vision a melee brother can't see far away enemies to know where to move to. The trait eagle eye will raise vision by 1 so archers can wear a tier higher in vision penalty with eagle eyes and shoot full distance. Crossbows have a range of 6 and by default a brother's vision is 7 so a crossbow user can wear a -1 vision penalty helmet lowering their vision to 6 and shoot full distance, meaning the crossbow's range of 6. So if you use a bow with a range of 7, and your helmet lowers your vision to 5, you can only shoot 5 hexes away. Community content is available under CC-BY-SA unless otherwise noted. Does not apply for Puncture (20 fatigue) skill, but it does apply for regular dagger Stab (7 fatigue). Vision is the max distance that a range weapon can hit an enemy. Double Grip (Status Effect) This status only applies if you have a one-handed weapon equipped with your second hand free i.e. Not sure if the Banner needs to be in hands from turn start, or when exactly the buff is applied. ![]() ![]() Because the Banner buff lasts for an entire turn even when swapped out, it is possible to both disarm and keep the resolve bonus. Vision also comes into play with range weapons. I try to combine Banner and a Whip with Quick Hands and Polearm Mastery. Originally posted by titanopteryx:They affect the range that mercs can see.
